Machado is a Colombian immigrant who has been living in France for several years, where he works in the grape harvest. His income is barely enough to cover the high cost of living in Europe. Through an acquaintance, he comes into contact with Madame Chiara, a jewelry collector who hires him to travel to Colombia and steal an emerald. Although Machado insists that returning to Colombia is dangerous for him, Chiara convinces him with a sum of money he cannot refuse.Once in Colombia, he must confront the frenetic life of downtown Medellín and the natural landscapes of the mountains. As he travels through the region, he becomes involved in a series of events that lead him to question the ultimate destination of the precious stone.
