“You are the industry” — this beautiful quote from our colleague perfectly captures the spirit in which we approach this discussion, presenting one of the most efficient, prominent, and dynamic industry platforms in Latin America: SANFIC Industria.
This conversation will reflect on the evolution of SANFIC Industria over the past fifteen years and its role as a platform for the development, financing, and international circulation of audiovisual projects from Ibero-America. During the panel, we will explore how SANFIC has built a model that could inspire other institutions across the Global South.
The session will also introduce the structure of SANFIC Industria and its ten sections dedicated to different stages of the industry ecosystem — from project development and works in progress to training initiatives and networking spaces. Through selected case studies, the discussion will highlight projects that have grown within SANFIC Industria and later achieved international recognition, illustrating the impact of industry platforms in strengthening the regional audiovisual sector.
