Elephants in the Fog follows four members of the marginalized Kinnar (trans-women) community living on the edge of a Nepalese village bordered by a dense, elephant-threatened forest. Led by the disciplined matriarch Pirati, the household survives by performing traditional blessings and volunteering for the dangerous nighttime elephant-watch patrol to maintain peace with the judgmental villagers. While Pirati quietly dreams of escaping her reality to run away with a local man, the fragile balance of their existence is shattered when the youngest member of their household mysteriously disappears during an overnight watch shift. Forced to investigate the disappearance, Pirati enters a high-stakes emotional crossroads, caught between her personal desire for love and her deep-seated duty to protect her chosen family.
