Open call for Alternativa Film Awards 2024 is announced

This year, the focus region of the awards is Southeast Asia. The awards ceremony will take place in late November in Indonesia, and prior to it the Alternativa Film Festival will present all the nominated titles to a wide audience with free public screenings. Prizes will be awarded in five categories with a total prize fund of $100,000. Feature-length fiction, documentary, animation, and hybrid films from all Asian countries, including Central Asia, can be submitted for the awards. Short films in any genre will only be accepted from Southeast Asian countries. The submission deadline is August 18.
