“The Impact Guide is an inspiring example of collective collaboration to change the world through film. It is fully in line with the values of the Alternativa Film Project and we are very proud to have the opportunity to be part of this initiative and to bring this unique collection of knowledge and experience to Russian speaking audiences in Central Asia and beyond.

Overcoming harmful stereotypes, getting politicians to pass a new law, changing public opinion - these tasks may seem impossible. But this guide helps to break down a big goal into manageable, concrete steps, to build a sequence of actions, to understand which direction to take in finding partners and funding - and ultimately to achieve an impressive result.”

Anna Gudkova

Head of the Alternativa Film Project Labs

“Before participating in the Alternativa Impact Lab last year, I had to piece together information on how to build impact campaigns from a variety of sources. I did this intuitively, trying out different approaches to engaging audiences and unlocking the value of documentaries. The original Impact Field Guide, introduced to me at the Lab, was a revelation as a powerful compilation of structured knowledge. However, I lacked the opportunity to discuss it with other filmmakers from Central Asia and share my thoughts. Now, thanks to the translation into Russian, many others can use this guide to learn how to build successful impact campaigns.”
