With our second film slate, we are expanding our global reach to give buyers and audiences access to even more exceptional, high-impact storytelling. Our latest acquisitions have already proven themselves on the world stage — from a Cannes prize-winner to acclaimed titles featured at Venice, Berlinale. We're incredibly proud to represent them and look forward to getting them in front of broadcasters and streaming platforms — and by extension audiences — that might not have had the chance to see them otherwise.

With these latest acquisitions, Alternativa Distribution’s growing line-up of impact-driven titles reaches 14 films in its first year. We will represent Elephants in the Fog in multiple territories across Asia and Latin America; No Good Men across Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Sub-Saharan Africa; Four Daughters across Latin America and Asia; and Lost Land across Southeast Asia (excluding Malaysia), the Nordics, Poland, and Portugal. The expanding catalogue and international reach reflect our mission to build a fairer distribution model for filmmakers from the Global South while bringing socially meaningful films to audiences worldwide.

Exceptional filmmaking can come from anywhere, but access to international audiences remains to be a process hindered by a deeply unequal system. Alternativa Distribution was created to challenge that imbalance. This slate has been carefully curated and showcases the high quality and transformative power of filmmaking from the Global South, and the positive impact these films can have when they reach wider audiences. To have built a portfolio of 14 titles in our first year is an important milestone, and we're proud of the momentum behind our mission to bring these stories to the viewers who deserve to see them.
